MORE CONSUMERS ARE SEEKING OUTPATIENT SERVICES FOR THEIR CARE.

With the demand for outpatient services increasing, hospital administrators are investing more in ambulatory services to remain competitive in the changing marketplace.. Healthcare information firm Sg2 projected in a 2010 report that the demand for outpatient services would increase by 22 percent.

Ambulatory care now accounts for the majority of many hospitals’ annual revenue. Because of this, it only makes sense for hospitals to proceed with joint ventures and acquisitions of  outpatient centers.
